Shopping with rYico

In partnership with the orgaisation Gahaya Links and Centre Marembo, rYico now sells handmade Rwandan crafts though its new online shop www.shop4rwanda.com.

Gahaya links is a cooperative that has established numerous women's groups across Rwanda comprising of women from both sides of the 1994 genocide. Amongst other crafts, the women weave baskets, the weaving acting as a form of reconciliation and healing for themsleves and their society.

rYico markets the crafts in the UK and a percentage of the profits are fed back into rYico's project in Rwanda, Centre Marembo.
